For the second year in a row, the Restena Foundation has been engaged in training catalogue of the Digital Learning Hub (DLH), the continuing professional training structure of the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth (MENJE).
In the summer 2023 catalogue, Restena is offering training courses, including a new one, within the 'Cyber Security' and ‘IT Administration and Cloud’ pillars. From 28 February to 2 June 2023, four Restena Foundation engineers will cover three key topics, representing a total of 28 hours of training:
- Incident Management - This process allows to effectively resolve a cybersecurity incident
➔ Restena operates a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) for the research and education sectors in Luxembourg.
- IPv6 - The successor IP address space to IPv4, IPv6 allows access to the Internet.
➔ Restena allocates IPv6 addresses to the research and education community in Luxembourg.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) - MFA allows a secured connection by providing two or more distinct proofs of identity.
➔ Restena has implemented strong, phishing-resistant MFA for its own staff resources, and is working with the international eduroam community to move eduroam accounts towards MFA.
The Restena's training courses, like all the others in the summer catalogue, lead to the issue of a certificate of participation by the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth.
