TRANSITS 1 training is organized by the Restena Foundation, acting as the National Research and Education Network (NREN) for Luxembourg, in close collaboration with the GÉANT Association, the association federating NRENs at the European level.
What is the training for?
- To discuss security issues in a secured and trusted environment, whilst being tutored by seasoned experts of the European CSIRT community.
- To acquire knowledge on incident response.
- To raise awareness on incident response for Management.

For a better learning experience, the participants are divided in two groups for most of the training.

Who is concerned?
The training concerns early professionals interested in incident handling and response team:
- new CSIRT personnel,
- IT personnel (SOC members, Project Managers, Risk Managers, IT Managers, Management).
How to participate?
→ A registration is required to participate to the training.The registration procedure will start in July 2024.
- Before 15 September 2024, registration is only open to a selection of institutions operating in education and research in Luxembourg and member institutions of CERT.lu.
- As of 15 September 2024, registration is open to any institution (public or private) based in Luxembourg, based on first served - first come.
→ The training fees are of 1.000 €. They are non-refundable and are to be paid for 25 October 2024.

Practical information
- Places are limited to 30 participants only
- The training is given in English.
- The lunches and social dinner on the first day are included in the training fees.
- Training fees are to be paid before the training.
- At the end of the training, participants are TRANSITS 1 certificated.
